This is the Najda recipe using 4 medium size turnips and two heads of cauliflower, which is about 6 lbs of vegetables. I used 5 cloves of garlic instead of 2, and doubled the amount of brine. Still one beet. I'm starting this on the countertop rather than doing the fridge thing. It's in a big pyrex bowl, with a plate on top to keep everything under the brine.

Started. I did put it in the fridge for a few hours just so it was out of the way. When I came home at 1 I put it on the counter.
